Recognition for Hoval in
the EEF Awards
Newark-based Hoval’s innovative manufacturing programme for biomass boilers and
other products has been recognised in the 2009 EEF Future Manufacturing Awards,
which celebrate excellence in manufacturing.
Winning through to the finals of the Midlands region awards in the ‘Business
Growth’ category, Hoval was applauded for a pioneering production and quality
control programme that has introduced major efficiency and sustainability
improvements.
Managing Director Adrian Walker commented: “We have made a significant
investment, in terms of both time and money, to ensure our manufacturing
facilities in Newark and Lincoln truly deserve the title of ‘Centres of
Excellence’. With the phenomenal growth that our biomass boilers have enjoyed in
the last few years it has been vital to maintain high production standards and
prompt delivery for customers. UK manufacture also ensures we can minimise the
embedded carbon in the life cycle of these products by reducing transportation
emissions.”
The award was received by Adrian Walker and Production Director Tony Roche at a
glittering ceremony in November, held at the National Space Centre in Leicester.
