COFELY in HVR finals in two categories
COFELY has won through to the finals of two categories in the HVR Awards 2010 – Contractor of the Year and Sustainable Project of the Year.
For the Contractor award, the judges were impressed with unique combination of service expertise, from the design, installation and management of local and renewable energy solutions, to the operational delivery of integrated facilities. In addition to the company’s operation and maintenance service provision, encompassing energy and environmental efficiency, COFELY has key delivery capability and expertise in energy and utilities, specialist technical services, project and engineering services, and facility management.
The entry for the Sustainable Project focused on the new energy centre at the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, Lincolnshire – constructed and managed by COFELY under a 15 year contract which also includes ongoing energy savings expected to average 5% per annum. The new energy centre is set to reduce the hospital’s carbon emissions by around 51%, with financial savings in the order of £210,000 per annum.
